When it comes to strength training, safety and simplicity is best… but don’t feel like the free weights area is the only place to get a more muscular physique. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned lifter, toning up, or just starting out—we offer a range of classes to boost your whole-body strength in practical, functional ways.
Getting in shape isn’t just about how much weight you can lift or how far you can run. Improving your mobility and balance makes all those things easier while reducing the risk of injury. Our range of mobility classes will have you feeling supple and strong in no time at all.
Want to improve your overall fitness without resorting to the treadmill every day? Join one of our fitness classes which are suitable for all fitness levels; these challenging sessions will burn fat, improve endurance and have you leaving the gym feeling like you’ve *really* worked out.

a-ROW- bic Blast

"Don't let your engine be the limiting factor of your workouts!"  Learn rowing techniques or improve on current form using splits developed for your personal ability.  Everyone welcome!

Full body extreme interval training in the studio.  An all over 30 minute blast, leaving you sweaty but revitalised!

Punch out your frustrations—and boost your strength, core and conditioning—with this aerobic, full-body boxing workout.

Train like a boxer in this fun, challenging, stress-busting workout. Suitable for all ages and any fitness level as the class is non-contact.

Bums N Tums

An old favourite, which took off in the early nineties and has remained a permanent fixture in many gyms’ exercise class schedules ever since.

As the name suggests, your typical Bums and Tums session features a number of exercise routines that specifically target the abdomen and lower body. It’s a fantastic option for those who want to tone up.

This isn’t a gruelling programme that will help you to lose a lot of weight - you’ll generally burn somewhere between 250 and 400 calories during a 55 minute session depending on how much effort you put in. The focus is very much on toning and tightening.

CALISTHENICS Blast

Through sets of push exercises, pulls, presses and squats, this class focuses first and foremost on technique to build the strongest of foundations, along with a full body workout you won't forget.

From the Greek term for “beautiful strength”, Calisthenics workout exercises are all about mastering your body and bodyweight. This is one of the best forms of functional fitness allowing you tone and sculpt your whole body while building your knowledge of movement and mobility.

A great whole-body workout for people of all fitness levels. Take on different exercises with a small rest between sets, to really push yourself.

CIRCUITS Blast

This 30 minutte blast class, delivered in the Functional Area, is a high intensity, fast-paced workout that will tone your body and shed fat fast. Circuit classes are fun, high-energy, fast-paced and involve moving around individual exercise stations, performing as many reps as you can in a set amount of time. No more than 6 can book in at a time, creating a more personalised experience for you.

CIZE is a dance program for everyone and makes exercise something to look forward to! Professional choreographer and trainer Shaun T breaks down dance courses step-by-step, move-by-move, so that anyone can dance their way to fit!

If you’ve never kickboxed before, now’s the perfect time to start. First of all, punching things is pretty much *the best* stress relief there is. And, second, Kickboxing offers several incredible health benefits by combining strength training and cardio and challenging your endurance. As you jab, cross, and kick, you'll hit pretty much every major muscle in your body, and improve your flexibility, speed, and agility. You'll never finish a workout and not feel incredibly accomplished. Promise.

The old classic is back at Fit - this.  A fun aerobic and challenging 45 minutes, upbeat old school dance classics bring this 80's favourite up to date!

Total is an all over body workout, combining core, strength and aerobic fitness. This session will vary each time to keep you on your toes. Suitable for everybody and all abilities.

TURBO KICK

This class will maximise your workout with ab sculpting moves and fat burning cardio ! It is filled with boxing, karate, and fun! Kick and punch your stress away! Suitable for all.

Get your heart racing and your booty poppin'. In this class you'll be squatting down low and popping your glutes to an uplifting and dynamic soundtrack. Twerking strengthens muscles in just about every part of your body and you can burn up to 500 calories in 55 minutes of twerk. Basically, you'll sculpt and and tone!

Easy to learn and soothes your soul while toning your body. In this class you will strengthen your cardiovascular system, tone and stretch your muscles and improve your mental fitness. Ashtanga is an energising and invigorating style of yoga.

Yoga

Yoga is a mind and body practice combining physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or relaxation to promote mental and physical well-being. This particular class, Vinyasa, is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. Classes may be sequenced around a peak pose such as a backbend, or they might focus on a particular theme such as the chakras or an aspect of yoga philosophy. Enjoy!
